NOTE:  Listed below is the 2009 policy.  We have used our best efforts to identify those who submitted  these forms.  We have now opened registration so if you did not contact us by January 30, 2010 as requested, then please be sure to enter Race when Registration opens.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2009 / 2010 DANSKIN  TRIATHLON SERIES PARTICIPANTS

ATTENTION ALL ATHLETES WHO:

• Completed Special Advance Registration Form for 2010 Race and Paid,

AND / OR

• Requested a deferral of 2009 Race entry to a 2010 Race

  RACE CITIES:  AUSTIN, PLEASANT PRAIRIE, SEATTLE, SANDY HOOK, ORLANDO

The 2010 Danskin Triathlon Series will be produced by The Xxtra Mile LLC.  One of the three (3) partners in this firm is Maggie Sullivan, Director of the Danskin Triathlon Series from 1990 through 2008.

The 2009 Danskin Triathlon Series was produced by Phildelphia Triathlon LLC / SheRox, who will not be producing or affiliated with the Danskin Triathlon Series in 2010 and beyond.

Due to this change in management, we are attempting to work through a transition to ensure all entries submitted in 2009 are fulfilled for 2010.  We apologize in advance for the inconvenience this may pose, and look forward to an amazing season ahead.
 
ADVANCE REGISTRATION FORMS

It is our understanding that the collection of ADVANCE REGISTRATION forms and payment for triathlons within the 2010 Danskin Triathlon Series were undertaken by the Philadelphia Triathlon LLC  / SheRox.  The Xxtra Mile has not yet been provided with the forms OR the funds, which is why we need to collect the information from you directly. You will NOT be charged for the Race again. We simply need to account for and hold a place for each participant who “pre-registered” prior to opening up the Races for entry to all in the weeks ahead.

Our main objective is to ensure that all participants who completed an ADVANCE REGISTRATION FORM for a 2010 event in 2009 or deferred their entry from 2009 to 2010 are able to participate in their chosen Race.

In order that we have a complete list of those women who in good faith “completed an Advance Registration Form” and paid their entry fee for 2010 we have requested the following in our communication of January 6, 2010.

1. A completed Entry Form (the form completed on RACE weekend was NOT a Race entry form)
2. Evidence of payment (cancelled check; credit card machine receipt given at time of payment; copy of credit card statement with all information blacked out OTHER THAN the line reflecting charge from PHILADELPHIA TRIATHLON LLC)

Our having a complete picture of the number of athletes captured in this “ADVANCE REGISTRATION” situation will enable us to protect the entry slot for each woman involved.

DEFERRED ENTRIES

The DEFERRAL POLICY for the 2009 Danskin Triathlon Series that was a part of the Danskin Triathlon Series/SheRox website follows:

There are no refunds and no transfers of applications. We do allow entries to be deferred into 2010. Requests for deferrals must be made by completing the deferral form by midnight EDT the night before the 2009 race date. You do not need a doctor's note to defer; you can defer for any reason. You will not receive a refund for your 2009 entry fee, and you will be required to pay the full fee for 2010, but a slot will be reserved for you if you enter up until 12 weeks prior to the 2009 race.  Instructions for entering the 2010 race will be sent to you around the time that 2010 registration opens.

For those individuals who elected to “defer their 2009 entry to the 2010 Race” the instructions within the letter received January 6, 2010 on this should be followed.
This directive was to:

1. Complete an entry form
2. Attach payment for the 2010 Race
3. Mail both to the address indicated on entry form and in letter.
